How it all began
In a modest neighborhood, on the East Coast of the United States, three friends, Brian a proud Connecticuter, Janessa and Vicky, both hailing from Africa, sat chatting about how they could build on the work they were already doing to support a group of children, as diverse as the community they found themselves in. From this informal conversation the Educate the Children Foundation was born. With a clear mission in place, the trio were determined that the foundation would stand as a testament to the power of education and the belief that it should be an undeniable right, not a privilege.
The journey of the Foundation is deeply personal for each of us. We all share a passion for social equity, striving to ensure every child receives equal opportunities to access an outstanding education. We have a history of advocacy, recognizing that the barriers to education are not walls, but opportunities to build doors. In boardrooms and classrooms alike, we have seen the brilliance of young minds that, when given the chance, can outshine the most dire of circumstances.
